More Federal funding

I want to work to ensure the needs of our local communities are met. Roads must become a priority again for all levels of government because they are a key priority for our local communities. It is on our roads that the milk, livestock, crops, timber and mineral sands are transported to and from market. It is on our roads that our children travel to and from school and to play netball and football. Our roads must be well maintained and safe.

The Federal Government must provide more money for the successful “Roads to Recovery” program that helps local government improve local roads. It must also provide more funding for duplication, overtaking lanes and repair work for the major highways that run through Wannon: the Princes, Hamilton, Western, Henty and Glenelg Highways.
