The Federal Leader of the Opposition, Hon Tony Abbott MHR visited Wannon on the 6th and 7th of December.
I was pleased to be able to show Mr Abbott around Warrnambool, Port Fairy, Hawkesdale and Hamilton where he met with local community groups and discussed local issues. The visit concluded with Mr Abbott attending a Community Dinner held to honour the former Member for Wannon, Hon David Hawker. This sold-out event was a huge success and a wonderful night was had by all of the 210 guests.
