The Terang Harness Racing Club will receive $255,000 of grants funding thanks to the Coalition Government.

Member for Wannon, Dan Tehan, said he was excited to see $250,000 from the Coalition Government’s Community Developments Grants Program being provided to the Terang Harness Racing Club to fund the redevelopment of their horse stalls, and also another $5,000 from the Volunteer Grants Program being provided to help improve amenity on site.

“The Terang Harness Racing Club is at the heart of this community, which is why I am so proud to see this funding forthcoming from the Coalition Government,” Mr Tehan said.

“The Dalvui track is one of the best harness racing facilities in regional Victoria, but its horse stall facilities were built over 60 years ago and are no longer fit for purpose. This is why this funding is so badly needed.”

“I’m also very happy to see $5,000 from the Coalition Government’s Volunteer Grants Program go towards help complete the stabling and community hub project, by assisting with amenities for those people with a disability and installation of seating with will improve rest and viewing areas.”

“It is regional venues like this one that keep the local economy ticking along by attracting tourism. If we can provide modern facilities for venues like these, it will ensure that that economic activity continues for years to come.

“The Coalition Government’s strong economic management is why we can afford to provide the services Australian rely on, such as those here in Terang.”
