Member for Wannon, Dan Tehan is encouraging members of the Wannon community to have their say in an ‘Inquiry into Supporting Australia’s Exports and Attracting Investment’.
Mr Tehan has welcomed the review and said it is crucial to ensure that the government’s policy settings continue to boost Australia’s trade and investment performance further.
Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, Senator the Hon Simon Birmingham, asked the Committee to inquire into and report on supporting Australia’s exports and attracting investment.
As part of its inquiry, the Committee will consider the ambition of Australian businesses to grow via export and attract investment, local regulatory barriers, and examples of best practice regulation to support export and investment growth.
The Committee invites submissions addressing any or all of the terms of reference for the inquiry and is seeking particular focus on new and rapidly growing areas of export.
I encourage businesses and individuals with interests in trade and export to get involved.
Submissions will close on Monday, 23 September 2019.
Further information about providing a submission is available by contacting my office on 1300 131 692.
